Photography-focused Oppo A37 announced, launching soon in India for Rs. 12,990

Oppo Mobile has officially announced a new entry-level phone in it's A-series of smartphones. Dubbed as Oppo A37, the smartphone is mainly focused on photography. Oppo A37 was originally introduced back in April in China, and now the smartphone is introduced for global markets. The device comes in three color options Gold, Grey and Rose Gold.

​Oppo A37 is priced at $199, pricing varies depending on the market. The device is currently available in Singapore for SD$289, with Indonesia launch lined up for June 25th. Other markets will follow later.

Oppo A37 Specifications

When it comes to specifications, Oppo A37 has a 5-inch HD IPS ​display with 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, 1.2GHz Quad-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.1 Lollipop with ColorOS 3.0 on top. The device measures 143.1 x 71 x 7.68mm and weights 136 grams.

On the photography front, the A37 features an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, 1/3.2-inch BSI sensor and an Ultra HD mode that stitches five photos together to form a 24MP photo. On the front is an 5MP camera with f/2.4 aperture, 4P lens, 1.4μm pixel size, 1/4-inch sensor and beauty mode. Like other devices, Oppo A37 uses screen flash to boast screen brightness beyond its setting to emulate an LED flash.

Other specifications includes 16GB internal storage with expandable memory up to 128GB with micro SD card, 2,630mAh battery and has dual-nano SIM support and microSD slot, all in a single tray. Connectivity series include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and OTG support.
