Made in India YU Yuphoria now on open sale in India till July 23rd; YU YuFit to go on sale on July 29th for Rs. 999

Micromax subsidiary YU Televentures has announced that the YU Yuphoria is available in open sale on Amazon.in starting from July 21st to July 23rd. According to YU, over 100,000 units of Yuphoria are available for purchase during this 3 days sale on Amazon and all of these Yuphoria's made available are designed and assemble in India. 

In related to the news, YU has also announced that its YuFit fitness band that was announced back in May will go on sale in the country starting July 29th via flash sales, and the registrations for the same will begin on July 21st and go until July 27th.

YU unveils Yureka Plus with Full HD display, 13MP Sony IMX214 sensor for Rs. 9,999

YU Televentures has launched the next version of its highly popular Yureka smartphone in the country earlier today. Called YU Yureka Plus, the smartphone comes with upgraded display resolution and new camera sensor. The Yureka Plus is company's third smartphone after the Yuphoria.

Micromax officially launches YU Yureka with Snapdragon 615 SoC, CyanogenMod OS for just Rs. 8,999

As promised, Micromax's sub-brand YU Televentures on Thursday at an press event in New Delhi officially announced the launch of its first smartphone running on CyanogenMod OS. Dubbed as YU Yureka, the smartphone comes with mid-range specifications and is priced very aggressively. The Yureka is made in collaboration with Cyanogen Inc.

Micromax brags exclusive rights at CyanogenMod in India, Indian OnePlus One WON'T get software updates [Update]

UPDATE: After a week filled with full of confusion between OnePlus, and Cyanogen and Micromax deal, Cyanogen Inc. has now again clarified that the OnePlus One sold in India (via Amazon India) won't be getting any future updates, as a part of Micromax-exclusive deal. 

Only the global OnePlus One (purchased from outside India) will be getting the future CyanogenMod updates. 

Since we clarified our support for OTA firmware updates for OnePlus One global devices, we’ve received a number of inquiries regarding OnePlus One devices sold in India.

As we had pledged to our users, OnePlus One global devices will receive our OTA firmware updates. If a user in India purchased a OnePlus One global device in channels outside of India, they will receive our OTA firmware updates. However, this excludes OnePlus One regional devices sold directly in India. We are committed to our exclusive partnership in India with Micromax, which will be launching its first Cyanogen OS device under their new YU brand.

Lately, Micromax announced its YU brand of smartphones that will arrive with the CyanogenMod OS pre-installed. Now, it has been confirmed that Cyanogen platform will be exclusive only to Micromax when it comes to rolling out software updates. Cyanogen has signed an agreement to provide exclusive rights to Micromax for the use of the platform in the country.

Micromax announces YU brand in partnership with Cyanogen Inc, first YU smartphone launching in December

Few days back, the second largest handset manufacturer in the country, Micromax announced its new subsidiary, YU Televentures that will be releasing devices under the YU brand starting from the next month. Confirming the previous rumors, Micromax has partnered with Cyanogen Inc. to launch these devices that are aimed to provide customized software and services to the users.
