With the announcement of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on all the latest Galaxy devices, Samsung is reported to start the updating process of their old flagship devices from October on-wards. According to few new reports, Samsung has said that both the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S4 will be receiving the Android 4.3 update in October, which indeed confirms the previous rumours of skipping of Android 4.2.2 update for Android 4.3.
Unfortunately, Samsung has not stated anything about the Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.3 or Android 4.2.2 update right now, which is sad considering it is yet to receive any major update since its launch.
The Android 4.3 update will bring support for OpenGL ES 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Bluetooth Smart, RM APIs, Dial-Pad autocomplete, always-on WiFi location reporting even if WiFi is off, support for more languages, and performance improvements. The company might also introduce some of the new features from the Galaxy Note 3 as well.
