Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 now rolling out in India

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 in India. The update is rolling out to the Exynos-version of the device, it's the same as Russia update, which rolled out last week. The update is available for download via over-the-air and via Kies PC software. India is the second country to get KitKat update for Galaxy S4, after Russia.

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Samsung Galaxy S4 in India. The update is rolling out to the Exynos-version of the device, it's the same as Russia update, which rolled out last week. The update is available for download via over-the-air and via Kies PC software. India is the second country to get KitKat update for Galaxy S4, after Russia.

The update weighs in at 353.59MB in size and brings many changes along with KitKat goodies. If you are unaware, the Galaxy S4 got Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in India last year in October, and this is the second major update for the Galaxy S4. 

Samsung Galaxy S4 KitKat update If you haven't received the update notification yet, then you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > More > About Device > Software Updates.

The update brings Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Project Svelte optimizations, updated Hangouts with SMS/MMS support, updated Google Now and updated Photo gallery with Auto Awesome feature. The update also brings KitKat features like wireless printing, immersive mode, colour emoji support, improved closed captioning support, stronger security, full-screen mode and more.

TouchWiz wise, the update brings white status bar icons from green, camera shortcut on lock screen, music album art on lock screen and better keyboard layout.
