LG is readying itself up for launching the G Pro 2 and the same might get announced on 13th February in Korea as the company has started sending out invitations for an event on the same. Looks like that LG wants to jump the gun and launch the device before the MWC later this month to save the cannibalisation of limelight from other brands. LG has confirmed its camera details and the remaining details get leaked every now and then.
LG does not really have any major launches lined up other than the G Pro 2 for the time being, so the media event in all likelihood will be for the next flagship phablet. It is rumoured (almost confirmed) to launch with a 5.9-inch Full HD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It will feature a 77.2 percent screen to body ratio and a pretty thin bezel of 0.4mm. It will rival the Note 3 and One Max when it launches. It will come with the KnockON feature as well.
It will be powered by a Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with an Adreno 330 GPU. The LG G Pro 2 will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Optimus UI customisations on top of it which are expected to bring a slew of functionalities to the same. It will get a 13MP at the rear with OIS plus for better imaging and will come with a support for 4K video recording along with slow motion video capturing ability as well.
A 3GB RAM will be aiding multitasking and LG will look to bring it in the market as soon as possible as it cannot afford to waste much time in the smartphone market. The only success LG has tasted in recent times has been courtesy of the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 but the same is not enough to drive the whole company.
LG G Pro 2 is expected to be best phablet, but will it live up to its expectations? We'll know the same on the 13th of February.
