As the date for the Samsung Unpacked 5 event draws closer, the leaks and official pictures regarding the launch of the Galaxy S5 continue to do rounds. Samsung has just released another teaser image of Unpacked 5 event which contains something like the UI of the device. The picture features a slew of generic features which will be embodied in the next flagship. The teaser looks pretty much like that for the Galaxy S5 but the same might just be for of the one of another flagship device.
Why we think that it might just be another device is because of the reason that the rounded icons look more like that of Tizen rather than the TouchWiz UI. Or it is just that Samsung will be opting for a Tizen-like UI for the next version of the TouchWiz UI. Right on heels of the release of the official picture, an image of the rear of S5's packaging has leaked as well to complement the already rumoured specs.
The leaked image shows that the device will get a 5.25-inch QHD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood will be a 2.5GHz quad-core CPU which will be a Snapdragon 805 unit in all probability. The RAM will stand at 3GB and will feature LTE category connectivity. The box states that the camera unit will be a 20MP one instead of earlier rumours of 16MP and the battery unit will be a 3,000 mAh one instead of 3,200 mAh as per previous reports.
The image might just be fake as well as the "2" is not bolded as "1" is in the S4 and Note 3 packaging for the 13MP camera. Also, when looked closer on camera icon where 20.0 is written, the 0.0 is in bold whereas the 2 seems to be copied from any other place.Video recording is listed at full HD as well whereas previous reports have suggested 4K video recording.
We ask you to take the leaked image with a pinch of salt. 24th of February is not far away and we'll have all the details regarding the next Samsung flagship then.
