HTC has announced another mid-range Android smartphone in China today. Dubbed as HTC Desire 316, the smartphone is found listed on HTC's official website for China. The Desire 316 is CDMA supported smartphone with 2G connectivity. The smartphone was found listed on TENAA last week along with HTC Desire 516, which is the dual-SIM variant of the phone.
It looks like HTC by mistake titled the page as "HTC Desire 316 specifications and reviews", since the press images reveals dual-SIM support, and the Desire 316 is a single SIM smartphone. Also, the URL mentions Desire 516, rather than Desire 316. There is no word on pricing or availability details yet.
Specifications-wise, HTC Desire 316 comes with a 5.0-inch qHD IPS display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. The smartphone comes in white and black colours and also features HTC BlinkFeed, HIDI Voice Assistant and Dream Video Clip.
Other specifications include a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with expandable using microSD card and 1,950 mAh battery. Desire 316 is 9.7mm thick and weighs about 160 grams. Connectivity series include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
