LG has started rolling out Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for LG G Flex in South Korea. The update is currently rolling out on all three telecom operators in Korea, including SKT, KT and LG U+. LG G Flex was originally announced with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and this is the first major update for the smartphone. No word on when other countries will receive the update.
The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for G Flex brings LG's Knock Code and split-window feature. The update also brings improved Bluetooth Car-Kit, which now displays notifications when a new message is received and will also display albums in the audio control functions.
KitKat goodies include faster performance, immersive interface, cloud-print support and more. The most noticeable change is the change in status bar icons, from blue to pure white.
In related to the news, French telecom operator SFR has revealed that the Optimus G will be getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in Summer. The news is confirmed by LG itself.
This will be the second most important update for the smartphone, since Optimus G was originally announced with Ice Cream Sandwich, and was update to Jelly Bean later on. Now the smartphone will be directly updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which will brings loads of news features, changes and enhancements.
