Samsung launched a cheaper version of the Galaxy Tab 3 in the form of Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in January. It was launched in Black and White colour options but it looks like that Samsung wants to spice things up a bit. It has quietly updated its Latin American website with 3 new colour options for the tablet and the rest of the markets shall follow soon enough as well.
The three new colours are Blue Green, Peach Pink and Lemon Yellow. The tablet will appeal to a wider audience for sure courtesy of the newer colour variants. Coming to the specs of the tablet, it remains similar to the Tab 3 Lite. It comes with a 7-inch WSVGA screen which has a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz dual-core processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Internal storage stands at 8GB and can be expanded via microSD card by another 32GB. The rear camera unit is a 2MP unit, down from the 3.15MP unit of the Tab 3. For connectivity, you get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. It has a 3,600 mAh battery under the hood.
If you are unaware, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in India last month as Galaxy Tab 3 Neo for Rs. 16,490.
