Along with HTC One (M8), HTC has also announced the launch of a new mid-range Android smartphone in India. Dubbed as HTC Desire 816, the smartphone was originally announced at MWC 2014 in Barcelona in February. The smartphone comes in array of colours including Black, Gray, Green, White, Red and Purple and is priced at Rs. 23,990.
According to HTC, the smartphone will be available across India starting from first week of May along with One (M8). The smartphone will be competing tough with the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra in India, which comes with similar specs but higher price.
Specifications-wise, HTC Desire 816 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display, 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1.5GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 5.5 UI with dual front-facing speakers. The smartphone is 7.99mm thick and weighs 165 grams and has dual-SIM support.
