Sony is definitely on a massive roll out these days as the vendor has announced a fleet of new and enhanced phones. Word around the tech industry is that the Japanese vendor is prepping another mid-ranger allegedly dubbed as Sony Xperia G. The smartphone is said to carry D5103 as it's model number. Now, the same has passed through the Indonesian POSTEL website.
The Xperia G live images and specs were leaked online about two months ago and it was speculated that Sony would unveil the same at the MWC 2014 event in Barcelona. But, it did not happen, making both the tech enthusiasts and consumers wait for its official launch.
As per a recent report from GSMInsider, the Xperia G has surfaced on POSTEL, Indonesia’s FCC equivalent carrying the model number D5103. The listing does not reveal any detail other than the model number, but the leak adds more credibility to the existing rumors about the mid-ranger.
Back in February, the Xperia G popped up on GFXBench website tipping that it could boast a similar spec sheet as the Moto G. The possible specifications of the rumored Sony phone include a 4.8-inch / 5.2-inch HD 720p display, 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 processor with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB RAM, 8MP rear camera coupled with 1.3MP front-facer, 8GB internal storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system.
As of now, there is no clear information on the aesthetics of Xperia G such as its water resistance and dust-proof nature, but being a mid-ranger there are only bleak chances for the phone to carry an IP certification. There is no word on pricing or availability details yet, but as soon as we here anything related to Xperia G, we will surely update you all.
