HTC has officially announced the much leaked miniature variant of its flagship One (M8), dubbed as HTC One Mini 2. The smartphone is the mini version of HTC One (M8) and is the successor of last year announced HTC One Mini. The design of One Mini 2 is similar to its bigger brother though it misses out the Duo camera set up.
HTC One Mini 2 comes in Glacial Silver, Gunmetal Gray, and Amber Gold colours, similar to the M8. According to HTC, the smartphone will first go on sale in EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and then in North Asia beginning from June 2014. There is no word on pricing details yet.
In terms of look and feel, the One Mini 2 comes with brushed metal body with curved edges, making it easier to handle. The smartphone, as reported above, misses out the Duo camera set up and Ultra Pixel camera. It has similar dual front facing BoomSound speakers and HTC Zoe.
On the specifications front, HTC One Mini 2 comes with a 4.5-inch Super LCD 3 HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top. The Mini 2 is 10.6 mm thick and weights 137 grams.
