Samsung has officially launched the 4G LTE enabled variant of the Galaxy S5 in the Indian market earlier today. Unlike the regular Galaxy S5 which comes with Exynos processor, the Galaxy S5 4G comes with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 processor which supports 4G networks. Similar to Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 4G comes in Charcoal Black, Shimmery White and Copper Gold colours and is priced at Rs. 53,500.
According to Samsung, the Galaxy S5 4G will be available starting July 20th in 4G service enabled cities in the country. Samsung has partnered with Airtel to provide 5GB 4G data per month for free for two months to the Galaxy S5 4G buyers. The smartphone will be competing tough with already available LG G2 4G.
Specifications-wise, Samsung Galaxy S5 4G comes with a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top. The device is 8.1mm thick and weights 145 grams.
Other specifications include an 16MP rear camera with LED flash, 2.1MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with upto 64GB supported microSD card slot and 2,800 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, fifth generation Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0 BLE / ANT+, USB 3.0 (covered), NFC and IR Remote.
In addition to all those specs, the Galaxy S5 4G is IP67 dust and water resistant. The smartphone also comes with Fingerprint scanner, Heart rate sensor, Ultra Power Saving Mode, Quick Connect, Download Booster, Private mode and Kids mode.
