After Spice comes the Karbonn Android One smartphone. Karbonn has officially launched its first Android One smartphone in the country today. Dubbed as Karbonn Sparkle V, the smartphone comes with similar Dream UNO like specs and is priced at Rs. 6,399. The only difference between Spice Dream UNO and Karbonn Sparkle V is the design and build of the device.
The Karbonn Sparkle V is now exclusively available from online retailer Snapdeal and comes in Blue, Red, Grey and White colours. As an introductory offer, Snapdeal is offering the Sparkle V with free 8GB memory card, Snapdeal coupons worth Rs. 2,000 (valid for 2 months) and free Rs. 200 recharge from FreeCharge.
Similar to Spice, Karbonn has revealed that the Sparkle V will be available from brick and mortar retailers around Diwali. Also, Airtel users will be able to download up to 200MB worth of apps from the Google Play Store every month for 6 months for free and will also be able to download Android updates for free for the first 6 months.
On the specifications front, Karbonn Sparkle V comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS LCD display with resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, Mali-400 MP GPU, 1GB RAM and Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The smartphone measures 113 x 66 x 10.4 mm and weights 138 grams.
Other specifications include an 5MP rear camera with LED flash and Full HD 1080p video recording, 2MP front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with expandable upto 32GB using microSD card and 1,700 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS.
