Moto 360 circular Android Wear powered smartwatch official, priced at $249; launching soon in India
Android Wear powered one of the first smartwatch to debut was the Moto 360 in March. Although Motorola announced the Moto 360 in March, the company didn't revealed the specifications and pricing of the same. Today, Motorola has finally took the wraps off the Moto 360 revealing every single detail that you had want.
Starting with the style, Moto 360 comes in stainless steel and leather band options, with steel bands (Light Metal and Dark Metal) to be made available later this year. On the leather side, Moto 360 initially comes with black leather band, but a limited launch edition Gray Leather band 360 is available too. According to Motorola, a stone leather band Moto 360 will be available later this year.
Motorola has priced the Moto 360 at $249.99, however the metal band Moto 360 variants will cost $299.99. Motorola has announced that it will launch the Moto 360 smartwatch in the country later this month along with the new Moto X. There is no word on pricing, but expect Motorola to price it at around Rs. 15,000.
On the specifications front, Moto 360 comes with a 1.56-inch backlit LCD display with resolution of 320 x 290 pixels, 205 ppi pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP 3 processor, 512MB RAM and Android Wear platform. The watch is 11.5mm thick and weights just 49 grams.
Other specifications include 4GB internal storage, optical heart rate sensor, pedometer, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and 320mAh battery with wireless charging support. The watch is waterproof, up to 3.3′ for up to 30 minutes and be compatible with device running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean or higher.
Similar to other Android Wear smartwatches, the Moto 360 is also voice activated, and comes with single physical button for waking up the device, vibration motor and dual microphones.
