LAVA Iris 465 with support for 21 Indian languages launched in India

LAVA has silently announced the launch of a new entry-level Android smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as LAVA Iris 465, the smartphone comes with support for 21 Indian sub-continent languages. According to LAVA, the Iris 465 will be available starting next week via all major retailers across the country.

LAVA has silently announced the launch of a new entry-level Android smartphone in the Indian market. Dubbed as LAVA Iris 465, the smartphone comes with support for 21 Indian sub-continent languages. According to LAVA, the Iris 465 will be available starting next week via all major retailers across the country.

The LAVA Iris 465 comes in Black colour option and is priced at Rs. 4,499. The smartphone supports Hindi, Bodo, Sanskrit, Nepali, Marathi, Dogri, Konkani, Kashmiri, Sindhi, Bengali, Assamese, Maithili, Maniouri, Gujarati, Punjabi, Santali, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam, Kannada languages.

On the specifications front, LAVA Iris 465 comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM support along with dual standby feature.

The phone also packs a 3.2MP rear camera, 0.3MP (VGA) front facing camera, 4GB of internal storage with expandable up to 32GB using microSD card slot and 1750 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
