Google Nexus 9, the next generation Nexus tablet was unveiled earlier this year in October. The tablet is manufactured in partnership with HTC and was listed on the Google Play Store in India last month. Google has priced the 16GB WiFi version of Nexus 9 at Rs. 28,900 and the 32GB WiFi + LTE version costs Rs. 44,900. Now, the Nexus 9 is available from Amazon India.
The 16GB WiFi-only variant of Nexus 9 can now be purchased from Amazon India at the same price of Rs. 28,900. There is no word on when the device will be available on the Google Play Store. Also, when the LTE version of the device will be available. Google Nexus 9 comes in White, Black and Sand colour options, however only the black version is available at Amazon India.
On the specifications front, Google Nexus 9 comes with a 8.9-inch IPS LCD QXGA display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 Dual Denver processor at 2.3GHz, 192-core Kepler GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop. The tablet measures 153.68 x 228.25 x 7.95 mm and weights 425 grams (WiFi) / 436 grams (WiFi+LTE).
Other specifications include an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1.6MP front facing camera, 16GB / 32GB internal storage and 6,700 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2x2 (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS.
