As expected, Chinese smartphone vendor Vivo on Monday officially took the wraps off the world's slimmest smartphone, the Vivo X5 Max with just 4.75 mm slim profile in the Indian market. Along with X5 Max, Vivo has also launched four smartphone in the country which include Vivo X3S, Vivo XShot, Vivo Y15 and Vivo Y22.
Vivo X5 Max comes in Aurora White colour and is priced at Rs. 32,980 in the Indian market. According to Vivo, the smartphone will be sold only offline through brick and mortar stores in the coming days. Pricing and availability details of rest of the smartphones will be revealed soon, however Vivo has revealed that these devices will be priced between Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 40,000.
Coming back to Vivo X5 Max, the smartphone comes with support for 3.5mm headphone jack, unlike Oppo R5. It has a stainless steel body with Yamaha YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip and Hi-Fi 2.0 support from the phone's speaker.
Specifications-wise, Vivo X5 Max comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat with Funtouch OS 2.0 on top.
The smartphone measures 153.90 x 78.00 x 4.75mm and comes with dual-SIM support, one for a microSIM and the other for nanoSIM cards, which if not needed can be used as a microSD card slot.
Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5MP front facing camera, 16GB internal storage with expandable upto 128GB using microSD card and 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and GPS.
