HTC earlier this week has officially announced a new mid-range Android smartphone in it's home market Taiwan. Dubbed as HTC Desire 626, the smartphone was first spotted last month. HTC has announced that the Desire 626 will be available in Taiwan later this month for NT$5,990, which is approx $190. HTC Desire 626 will be available in Dark Blue and White color options.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Desire 626 comes with a 5-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor supplemented with 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6.0 UI on top. The smartphone measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.19mm and weights 140 grams.
The Desire 626 boasts of a 13MP main camera at its back with LED flash, a 5MP selfie snapper up front, 16GB of internal storage support with expandable up to 128GB using microSD card and 2000 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
