Samsung has so long been using the same TouchWiz UI on almost all its flagship smartphone since quite sometime. It is likely that this time the firm will be launching a new updated version of the TouchWiz UI. Samsung has been claimed to revamp the UI optimizing its customized skin to near stock Android level. This is possible by cutting down some bloatware on the heavy handed fashion.
A recent report by SamMobile shows a detailed insight on the software front of the Galaxy S6. As per the same, the major change that the S6 will bring is the elimination of pre-installed Samsung applications. However, those apps that are removed are not known and it is possible for the S Note, S Health, S Voice or Scrapbook not to be preloaded anymore, but they are likely to be on the Galaxy App Store.
Instead, it is claimed that the Galaxy S6 will boast of applications such as OneDrive, Office Mobile with 365 days free subscription, OneNote and Skype. The TouchWiz UI on the Galaxy S6 is likely to be extremely fast as compared to that of Android Lollipop on the Note 4. Samsung is said to have adopted several animations and effects that came with Lollipop.
The changes that could arrive in the new TouchWiz UI include changes to the default keyboard app with a mix between the one on iOS and Galaxy Tab S, more themes, colorful apps, app drawer icon layout options and music app in full screen mode.
On the whole, it looks like Samsung is making the needed changes to the software’s looks and functionality to make it good for the end user.
