After announcing the Desire 820 and Desire 820q for the Indian market last month, HTC on Friday has finally revealed the pricing and availability details of the smartphones. The Desire 820 and Desire 820q feature mid-range specifications. HTC has priced the Desire 820 at Rs. 24,990, while the Desire 820q will be available for Rs. 22,500, both starting November 5th.

HTC has officially launched the successor of Desire 816 smartphone in the Indian market on Tuesday. Dubbed as HTC Desire 820, the smartphone was originally announced earlier this month at the IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin. HTC has also launched the quad-core variant of Desire 820 in the country and is dubbed as HTC Desire 820Q. The vendor has also launched a cheaper variant of Desire 816 called the Desire 816G.

As expected, HTC has officially took the wraps off the HTC Desire 820, the successor of Desire 816 at the IFA 2014 tradeshow last week. The smartphone is the company's first phone to come with 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The Desire 820 comes in range of colours including Marble White, Tuxedo Grey (matte), Santorini White, Milky-way Grey, Tangerine White, Saffron Grey, Flamingo Grey, Blue Mist and Monarch Orange.

Taiwanese tech tycoon HTC could be lagging behind in terms of competition, but the vendor has always managed to stand out ahead of the competition with its innovative offerings and new features. For instance, it was HTC that has announced the first Android smartphone – HTC Dream (G1 for T-Mobile) and the first Full HD 1080p smartphone display with the Butterfly.
