Much leaked and rumoured HTC Zara is now official as HTC Desire 601 as it's market name along with HTC Zara Mini as HTC Desire 300. Part of the company's desire series, the new smartphones will join other desire series smartphones like, Desire 200, Desire 500, Desire 600 and Desire 600c. According to HTC, both the smartphones will go on sale in select markets across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from October on-wards.
The Desire 601 features a 4.5-inch qHD display, 1.4GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0 on top of it along with 1GB RAM and customizations like HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, HTC BoomSound and Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers.
Other specifications include, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 0.3MP VGA front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with 64GB microSD card expansion and 2,100 mAh battery. Connectivity series include, 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX and GPS + GLONASS.
On the other hand, HTC Desire 300 comes with an 4.3-inch WVGA display, 1GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.0 UI on top, 512MB RAM and HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe, but lacks HTC BoomSound.
Other specifications include, 5MP auto focus rear camera, 0.3MP VGA front facing camera, 4GB internal storage with 64GB microSD card support and 1,650 mAh battery. On the connectivity front, Desire 300 comes with 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS /aGPS.
