Last night we reported that, Google is testing the first update for its latest Android version, KitKat, and today David Burke, Google's Director of Engineering for Android has told The Verge in an interview that Android 4.4.1 update is indeed coming soon and brings major fixes for Nexus 5's camera. The update took Burge and his team 5 weeks to complete.

According to Burke, the update will be rolled out in the next few days and will now allow Nexus 5's camera to focus much faster and users speed up the shutter speed. The user will also have better exposure algorithms and white balance after the update.

Not only the camera focus and speed, but the app itself will also launch quicker with slight changes in the interface.

The images produced by the camera after the update will have less motion blur and camera shake, with more contrast and vibrant colours, as you can see in the sample images below.
