Earlier this week, U.S. carrier Sprint announced on its support page that it will push the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update with the build number KTU84F to the Nexus 5 units. Suddenly, the update has vanished from the carrier’s support page leaving the Nexus 5 users confused about the update that was claimed to be rolled out between April 14th and April 21st.
It was announced that the Nexus 5 users will be receiving this update within a week’s timeframe. It was claimed that this update will add support to the LTE bands 26 and 41 for the Nexus 5 handsets along with bringing about some main bug fixes and enhancements.
However, as the updates are rolled out by Google and not by any carrier, it seems like Sprint Nexus 5 devices are not getting the said Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for now.
With the removal of the support page posting, launch of the specific update remains a mystery. It has to be noted that only the details about the build has vanished and that the change-log remains the same. It appears like Google is prepping a new update with more bug fixes for the issues on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
