While rumors regarding Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime have been hitting the web constantly suggesting a Quad HD display and metallic build, details regarding the HTC One (M8) Prime have hit the web the second time. The M8 Prime is rumoured to be the next generation flagship phone from HTC. Twitter bound leakster @evleaks has revealed some interesting details about the One (M8) Prime.

As per @evleaks, the phone would feature an exotic material that is composite of liquid silicone and aluminum. The smartphone is also said to be waterproof and it is said to boast a 5.5-inch Quad HD display packing a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. As for the other specs, the One (M8) Prime is claimed to include a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor ticking at 2.5GHz paired with 3GB of RAM and LTE-A Cat 6 compatibility, which supports download speeds up to 300 Mbps.

Qualcomm showcased the Snapdragon 805 chipset at the MWC 2014 event earlier this year at Barcelona in February. If this upcoming HTC smartphone incorporates this processor in it, then it would be the first one from the company to support high-speed 4G technology.

These details were revealed by @evleaks as a response to HTC’s Senior Global Online Communications Manager, Jeff Gordon who tweeted “In the past few days, a well-known leaker has been completely wrong about at least two of his leaks," referring to @evleaks.

The HTC One (M8) Prime will be competing with the LG G3 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime when available.
