Motorola customer support confirms roll-out of Android L update for Moto G and Moto X
While the upcoming iteration of Google’s mobile OS – Android L is in the developer preview phase, the smartphone manufacturers have started confirming the roll-out of the platform to their existing devices. One of the vendors is Motorola that is prompt in rolling out timely updates to its devices. The company recently started rolling out the 4.4.4 KitKat update for Moto E, Moto G and Moto X users in India.
Now, the Motorola customer support has confirmed that the Moto G and the Moto X smartphones will get the Android L update, exact time-frame is not yet disclosed. But, there is no word regarding the roll-out for the entry-level Moto E smartphone.
Of course, the customer support is not a reliable source for letting out such inside information such as roll-out of updates to a device. Moreover, Android L is still not final and it could too early to predict the roll-out schedule of the update.
In addition to Motorola, HTC has also announced that it will be rolling out the Android L update to HTC One (M8) and One (M7) devices within 90 days of receiving the source code from the search engine giant. Moreover, the Nexus devices will be getting this update in the fall soon after the version goes official.
