LG G3 A with 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.4 KitKat announced in South Korea

LG debuted the flagship G3 earlier this year in May with Quad-HD display and Snapdragon 801 processor. The company then announced the G3 Cat.6 with Snapdragon 805 processor in South Korea. Now, on Thursday, LG has officially announced a new variant of LG G3, called the LG G3 A in South Korea. The G3 A is a stripped down variant of LG G3.

LG G3 A comes in White and Titanium colours and is now available from telecom operator SK Telecom for 704,000 won, which is approx. $682 or Rs. 41,700. There is no word on whether LG will launch the G3 A outside Korea.

On the specifications front, LG G3 A comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display, 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat with SKT-specific UX and software. The smartphone is 9.8mm thick and weights 146.8 grams.

Other specifications include an 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, OIS and Laser Auto Focus, 2.1MP front facing camera, 32GB internal storage with expandable using microSD card and 2,610 mAh battery. Connectivity series include 4G LTE-A, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC.
