Samsung announces Android 4.4 KitKat update schedule for 16 Galaxy devices in US

Samsung has just released its Android 4.4 KitKat roll out plans for US which includes the list of all the devices that will be getting the latest Android update in future. The roll out has started today in US. According to Samsung, the updates will continue over the coming months. The company has not revealed which devices will be the first to receive the KitKat update.

Samsung has just released its Android 4.4 KitKat roll out plans for US which includes the list of all the devices that will be getting the latest Android update in future. The roll out has started today in US. According to Samsung, the updates will continue over the coming months. The company has not revealed which devices will be the first to receive the KitKat update.

All the above mentioned smartphones barring the Light are on sale in India so we can expect all the devices to get an update in India as well soon after the US roll-out.

Now let us see what the update will bring along with it. It will make your smartphone/tablet faster and will bring an all new Hangout application that can be used as a default messaging application. You’ll get an all new location menu coupled with User Interface enhancements such as newer icons, monochromatic status icons and the likes.

The Galaxy tablets might just get the Magazine UX which seems to have been optimised for tablets. Expect a word on an Indian roll out with a comprehensive list of devices soon. Rest assured, the above devices are getting updated for sure. It will also get upgraded Google Mobile Services where you can automatically back up photos and video and can open, view, rename and share Google Docs and files in the same.
