Motorola India has started sending out press invites to the Indian tech press media for attending an event on September 5th. This invite comes days after Motorola revealed its Chicago event date which is September 4th, where the company is expected to unveil the Moto X+1 and the Moto G2 smartphones, along with the Moto 360 smartwatch.
The invite reads "Mark 05 September on your calendar" and is scheduled to happen in New Delhi. The look and feel of the India invite is similar to the U.S. one, hinting at the launch of Moto X+1, Moto G2 and most probably the Moto 360 smartwatch in the country.
No other details are available as of now, but in just fortnight everything will be cleared out.
In another news, Flipkart has announced that it is selling the last stocks of Moto G smartphones in the country and that it will no longer be available from the website once out of inventory. The 8GB variant of Moto G is already out of stock, while the 16GB variant is still available from Flipkart for Rs. 11,999. which is Rs. 2,000 less than the launch price.
This sudden move all but confirms that Motorola will indeed be debuting the Moto G2 on September 5th in India along with other smartphones and will go on sale soon after its unveiling.
Talking about the specifications, Moto G2 is said to come with a 5-inch HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 8GB / 16GB internal storage with microSD card support and 4G LTE support.
On the other hand, Moto X+1 is rumoured to arrive with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.4.4 KitKat, 12MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, 2MP front camera and 4G LTE support.
