HTC Desire 820 Mini with 5-inch display, quad-core processor listed on HTC China website
Back in September at IFA 2014, HTC unleashed the 64-bit processor equipped Desire 820. Following this, another smartphone in the lineup called Desire 820mu has passed through TENAA and the handset was also featured on the company's Chinese web store briefly shedding light on its features and specifications. The Desire 820mu will be called the HTC Desire 820 Mini.
The listing of Desire 820mu has since been taken down but not before it went viral. According to the listing, the Desire 820 Mini comes with a 5-inch HD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and employ a 1.2GHz quad-core processor of unspecified chipset supplemented by 1GB of RAM. The phone also has front facing stereo speakers.
With Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system topped with Sense UI, the smartphone is likely to bundle 8GB of internal storage capacity with support for expandable storage upto 32GB via microSD card and an 5MP front facing camera and an 8MP rear camera with LED flash.
The other aspects of the Desire 820 mini as revealed by the listing including LTE and 3G connectivity in both the Chinese and international variants and dual SIM connectivity. The device appears to arrive with a pricing of CNY 1,399 translating to $230.
