HTC has silently started rolling out the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the HTC Butterfly smartphone starting today. The update is rolling out over-the-air and is already available in Malaysia. The update brings new firmware version 3.15.707.4 along with some new features and changes. Other regions are expected to get the update soon, maybe in a week or two.

HTC India has officially started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for HTC Butterfly in India. HTC Butterfly was launched in India way back in January, and was the most costliest smartphone in India for more than four months, the place is now replaced by Samsung's Galaxy Note 3, which has been launched in India for Rs. 49,990, half a lakh. The update is available via OTA (over-the-air) and brings all new features and improvements of Android 4.2.2 alongside HTC's customized Sense 5.0 UI.

Good News for HTC Butterfly and HTC One X owners, HTC will be adding some new features of HTC One on Butterfly and One X in their next software update. HTC North Asia chief Jack Tong has revealed that his company plans to push a software update to HTC Butterfly by May-end to bring the new Sense 5.0 interface.

HTC launched HTC One with a all new UI, which is dubbed as HTC Sense 5.0. The only think which is missing in HTC One is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the latest Android OS. Sadly, One is currently running on Android 4.1.2. There are many cool features in Android 4.2.2 which when customized on Sense 5.0 will make it look awesome.

HTC has just launched the new HTC Butterfly in India at a price of Rs. 49,990 with a best buy price of Rs. 45990/- . The HTC Butterfly [ Droid DNA ] is the global version of the J Butterfly launched in Japan last year. The phone features a 5 inch 1920 x 1080p full HD LCD3 panel which comes with Gorilla Glass 2, making it a whopping 440ppi pixel density.

8:13 PMTaiwanese manufacturer HTC is reportedly all set to launch its new flagship smartphone, Butterfly [ Droid DNA ], in India. A top-of-the-line device, it is expected to be priced above all current Android flagship phones, including the likes of Samsung Galaxy SIII and HTC's own One X. According to tech blog, the smartphone will be priced at a whopping Rs 44,000 in the country.

Even if launched at Rs 44,000, HTC Butterfly will still not touch the price tag of Apple iPhone 5, whose base version comes for Rs 44,500 in the country. As per the blog, HTC Butterfly is likely to be unveiled in the next two weeks and is expected to hit the stores on the same day.

HTC Butterfly, known as Droid DNA in the US market, features a 5-inch Super LCD 3 screen. This display has pixel density of 441ppi, the highest in any phone currently available in the market, and supports full HD videos (shot at 1920x1080p resolution). This smartphone comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), layered with HTC Sense UI, out-of-the-box and can be upgraded to Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
The upcoming Butterfly is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. It will have 16GB onboard memory and will support microSD card expansion up to 32GB. Connectivity options in the device include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB. Since the device is not listed on HTC's India website, it is not known whether the device meant for the market will support 4G LTE or not. Butterfly will sport an 8MP autofocus snapper with LED flash on the back and 2.1MP camera in the front.
