Sony Xperia A2 with 4.3-inch HD display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 20.7MP camera officially announced in Japan for NTT DoCoMo

Sony Xperia A2, which was leaked earlier this month is now officially official. Sony has officially announced the Xperia A2 in Japan as a part of NTT DoCoMo's Summer line-up. The Sony Xperia A2 (SO-04F) is the successor of the Xperia A (SO-04E) and comes in range of colours including Gray Black, White, Lavender and Orange.

The smartphone has similar specs as Xperia Z1 f, but features a matte plastic back, unlike the glass back on the Z1 f. According to Sony, the smartphone will be available from NTT DoCoMo starting from middle of June 2014.

On the specifications front, Sony Xperia A2 comes with a 4.3-inch HD Triluminos display with X-Reality for mobiles, 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM9874) processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The smartphone is 9.7 mm thick and weights 138 grams.

Other specifications include an 20.7MP rear camera with LED flash and Exmor RS sensor, 2.2MP front-facing camera, 16GB of internal storage with expandable up to 128GB using microSD card and 2,300 mAh battery. The Xperia A2 is water proof and dust resistant. Connectivity series include Xi LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, MHL and NFC.
