Micro splash designed HTC Desire 530, Desire 630 and Desire 825 announced at MWC 2016
LG and Samsung took the MWC stage to unveil their respective flagship smartphones. But, HTC on the other hand took a different approach and has unveiled three new mid-range Desire series smartphones at the Mobile World Congress. Called HTC Desire 530, Desire 630 and Desire 825, the smartphones follow the same design policy of HTC but with new micro splash effect, creating unique pattern of paint on each device.
HTC has revealed that all the devices will be available starting March 2016 from select retailers in select countries. There is no word on pricing yet. According to HTC India website, the Desire 630 and the Desire 825 will be launched in the country soon.
Talking of the specifications individually,
HTC Desire 825
HTC Desire 825 comes with a 5.5-inch HD Super LCD display, 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top. The smartphone will be made available in two colors: Stratus White Remix with duo color micro splash & Graphite Gray Remix with gold micro splash.
The Desire 825 measures 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.4 mm and weighs 155 gram. On the imaging front, the smartphone comes with 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front facing camera. Other specifications include 16GB internal storage with microSD card slot and 2700 mAh battery with fast charging support.
According to HTC, the device will come packaged with a Hi-Res headset, and the phone is Hi-Res Audio certified and features BoomSound with Dolby Audio 5. Connectivity series include LTE - Single / Dual SIM versions, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz).
HTC Desire 630
HTC Desire 630 on the other hand comes packed in with a 5-inch HD Super LCD display and 2200 mAh battery with fast charging support. Other specifications are similar to the Desire 825. The Desire 630 measures 146.9 x 70.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 140 grams. Also, the device will be made available in only dual-SIM option and offer Cat. 4 LTE.
HTC Desire 530
Talking about the Desire 530, the smartphone is a lower-end version of the Desire 630 and comes with 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor with 1.5GB RAM. On the front is a 5MP sensor and rear comes with reduced 8MP sensor.
Like Desire 630 and Desire 825, the Desire 530 does not come with Hi-Res audio certification or headphones, rather it only supports HTC BoomSound speakers on the front. The device measures and weighs similar to Desire 630 and will be made available in two colors options, Graphite Grey and Solid Stratus White.
