Gmail 5.0 for Android to add support for Yahoo, Outlook and other email accounts

After the launch of the Android 5.0 Lollipop last week, Google appears to be in plans of updating the popular e-mail client, Gmail. Well, the Gmail lovers might have something valuable to cheer about the Android version of service as it receives overhaul for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. In addition to the graphics overhaul adhering to the Material Design, Gmail 5.0 application will also let the Android users to add non-Gmail accounts such as Outlook and Yahoo to the email client.

After the launch of the Android 5.0 Lollipop last week, Google appears to be in plans of updating the popular e-mail client, Gmail. Well, the Gmail lovers might have something valuable to cheer about the Android version of service as it receives overhaul for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. In addition to the graphics overhaul adhering to the Material Design, Gmail 5.0 application will also let the Android users to add non-Gmail accounts such as Outlook and Yahoo to the email client.

As per an Android Police report, the users of Gmail will be able to read and reply emails on their non-Gmail accounts right from the app. The report adds on that the new Gmail app will be able to handle email accounts from the other providers by simply switching between them via a simple swipe or by touching the respective account from the drop down.

The other noticeable change that the upcoming update will bring to the Gmail application include major graphical overhaul. A plethora of applications will be redesigned to embrace the Material Design philosophy.
