Samsung announced its 2014 flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 this year in February at MWC 2014 event, much ahead of its schedule. And now the next generation Samsung phablet – Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is scheduled to get announced at the IFA 2014 event in September. According to a SamMobile report, the alleged specifications of the Note 4 and other Samsung devices that are to be released have been revealed.

As per the report, the Galaxy Note 4 will be carrying the model number SM-N910 and it will arrive in two variants – one with Snapdragon 805 chipset for China, Korea, Japan and North America and the other with Exynos chipset for the rest of the markets.

While the report remains unclear on the specifications of the forthcoming phablet, it is alleged that the device will come fitted with an upgraded Exynos 5433 processor codenamed HelsinkiPro, as the Exynos 5430 was codenamed Helsinki.

The other specifications of the Galaxy Note 4 include a Quad HD Super AMOLED display of unknown size (possibly 5.7-inch, similar to the Note 3) with UV sensor, 16MP main camera with Sony IMX240 sensor and OIS and an 2MP front-facing shooter for making video calls.

The Note 4 is tipped to arrive in two variants that differ not only by means of processor, but with a notable physical difference as well. As per an unnamed executive of an unidentified Samsung partner based in Korea, the Galaxy Note 4 will have two versions – one boasting a curved OLED display for the advanced markets and the other with the usual flat OLED display for the mass markets, says The Korean Times.

Samsung is not new to the curved displays as the firm has come up with the Samsung Galaxy Round that was meant for the Korean market to compete with the LG G Flex. As per the statement, if the Galaxy Note 4 arrives with a curved display for the niche markets, it would be great on Samsung’s part for introducing the new form factor.

Besides the Galaxy Note 4, the report has tips about the Galaxy F aka Galaxy S5 Prime smartphone that is codenamed kcat6 featuring the unannounced Exynos 5433 SoC. Samsung is also expected to unveil their Google Glass competitor called Samsung Gear Glass (just a place holder name) at the IFA 2014 event along with a slew of other unmentioned wearables. We can also expect a new Gear model and an Android Wear powered smartwatch from Samsung this year.

The report also mentions a smartphone with the model number SM-G906 under the Lentis project. While it is not clear about the device that falls in the Lentis project, the device is said to feature a Snapdragon 805 chipset and Full HD display. It appears like this smartphone is meant only for the Korean market with similar camera features as the one in the Galaxy Note 4. It is speculated that the Lentis project smartphone could be the Korean variant of Galaxy S5 Prime aka Galaxy F.

Update (June 17th): An unknown Samsung smartphone with model number SM-N910A has been found listed over at Zauba and Samsung's UAProf website. The UAProf listing reveals that the smartphone comes with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display and the Zauba listing confirms that the same has a 5.7-inch screen size.

Since the Galaxy Note 3 has the model number SM-N900, the SM-N910 is probably the successor of it, the Galaxy Note 4. 'A' in the name indicates that the device is for AT&T.
